In an attempt to recognize an individual or group who has demonstrated a commitment to public education and Ohio educators, nominations for the ECOEA Friend of Education Award will be accepted in even numbered years.
The following criteria will be used by the ECOEA Executive Committee to make a selection from the forms submitted:
1 – Evidence of lifelong dedication to education
2 – Service to other professional organizations
3 – Other community service
Past Friend of Education recipients include Senator Scott Oelslager, Representative Mark Okey, and Attorney Kathleen McKinley.
Please submit the completed nomination form along with any pertinent documentation to the ECOEA Executive Board by the deadline of October 1, 2016. The Friend of Education Award will be presented at the ECOEA Fall Representative Assembly on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at the Canton Professional Educators’ Offices. Download the form here:
