ECOEA Quinn Educational Scholarship for Students(2026)

The Quinn Scholarship for Students is awarded each spring to the child of an ECOEA member who is enrolled in a course of study leading to a degree in education.

In Memory of Dolores Quinn

We are saddened to share the passing of Dolores Quinn, a devoted advocate for public education and a cherished member of the East Central Ohio Education Association (ECOEA) family. Dolores served for many years as Secretary of ECOEA, working closely alongside her husband, William Quinn, the first Executive Director of ECOEA. Together, they helped shape the foundation and direction our organization since its inception in 1959. Mr. Quinn served as Executive Director for 36 years, and both he and Dolores dedicated their lives to supporting educators and students across our district.

In honor of their legacy and lifelong commitment to education, ECOEA proudly offers two scholarships named in memory of William and Dolores Quinn. These scholarships continue to support educators and reflect the passion and dedication the Quinns brought to their work.

Per her obituary, Dolores wished that memorial contributions be made to the East Central Ohio Education Association in support of  scholarships. Donations can be mailed to the address below, or you can use the credit card link to make a donation.
